About Me
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and of Portuguese descent, I have lived in several countries, including Brazil, the USA, France, Portugal, and Spain. My lifelong curiosity about global cultures has led me to visit over 100 countries, and I am fluent in English, Portuguese, French, Spanish, Italian, and conversational German. I am passionate about my work, as it allows me to help others reach their full potential and contribute to positive change in the world.
Research & Publications
My academic background includes research projects at Boston University and serving as a research assistant at the Murray Research Archive at Harvard University. I have authored several articles and presentations, including a contribution to the book International Perspectives on Violence and Abuse. My current research focuses on Attachment Theory. Clinical Training
The majority of my clinical training was completed at Harvard University-affiliated hospitals, specifically the Cambridge Health Alliance and the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Department of Psychiatry. I hold a Fellowship Certification from Harvard Medical School and an Addiction and Recovery Certification from the Stanford University Department of Psychiatry.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of being supervised by Sophie Freud and mentored by Dr. Anne Alonso during my graduate studies and residency at MGH. My diverse professional background spans hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, managed care, and private practice.
Clinical Practice
With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in treating adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples. My areas of expertise include addictions, trauma, and eating disorders. I am dedicated to helping clients navigate a wide range of psychological challenges to achieve lasting well-being.
